What Is Gum Disease?

You need healthy jawbone and gum tissues to get a dental implant. If your gum disease is so advanced that it affects the bone structure and density, then it's probably impossible to get an implant. There are various treatment plans that you can follow, depending on the severity of your issue. If your gum disease is only mild, then the dentist will likely treat it with deep cleaning.
